University student Tasuku graduates from university without a career path planned.
Returning home, he finds his father Jinpei has abandoned him, leaving behind a letter reading: “Congratulations on your graduation! I’m graduating from being your father!”
Once a best-selling mystery author, Jinpei blew his entire fortune, leaving behind only mountains of debt. With no evidence of foul play, the police refuse to investigate his father’s disappearance, and Tasuku eventually ends up at “Joker Detective Agency” after finding their business card in one of Jinpei’s novels.
Unfortunately, the cost of investigating the disappearance is far beyond Tasuku’s means.
Troubled, Tasuku’s eye’s fall on a poster looking for new students at a school for detectives. He makes the decision to become a professional detective and search for his father himself.
One day, whilst practicing tailing a suspect, he gets sidetracked saving an old woman and loses his mark. He’s later reprimanded by his teacher who tells him “90% of a private detective’s job is to investigate affairs, uncover people’s secrets and weaknesses. Being resented by people is par for the course! If you want to be a good person, this job isn’t for you.”
Compared to the heroic detectives in his father’s book, the reality of the job comes as a sharp shock to Tasuku. On top of this, the classmates he has to work with are an overwhelmingly eclectic mix of people from different ages and backgrounds, leading them into unforeseen trouble on almost every case. At this rate, will Tasuku ever become a full-fledged detective?

大学生の匡（たすく）は就職先が見つからないまま卒業式の日を迎えていた。家に帰ると父の迅平（じんぺい）が『大学卒業おめでとう。父さんも、お前から卒業します』という手紙を残して失踪していた！迅平はかつて売れっ子の推理小説家だったが、実は財産を食いつぶし、莫大な借金を残していた。事件性のない失踪のため警察は捜査をしてくれず、匡は迅平の小説に挟んであった名刺を頼りに「ジョーカー探偵社」にたどり着く。しかし、失踪調査には莫大な費用がかかる。困った匡は探偵学校の生徒募集のポスターを見つけ、自身がプロの探偵になって失踪した父を見つけ出すことを決意する。
ある日、街中で尾行の実習をしていた匡は、急病の老婆を助けているうちに尾行の対象者を見失ってしまう。教師に「現実の探偵の仕事は9割が浮気調査、人の弱みや秘密を暴くのが仕事なんだ。人から恨まれることは当たり前。善人になりたいなら探偵など辞めろ！」と叱られる。父の小説に描かれていたヒーローのような探偵とは全く違う現実に打ちのめされる匡。さらに探偵学校のクラスメイトは年齢も経歴もバラバラ、変わり者ばかりで、毎回予想もしないトラブルに巻き込まれることに…果たして匡は一人前の探偵になれるのか？

■ INTRODUCTION
Haruka Ayase plays a newlywed wife who hides her past as a secret agent and beats up one bad guy after another like an action star. The identity of her husband (an agent of the Public Security Bureau) played by Hidetoshi Nishijima is gradually disclosed through a thrilling plot development. This story about a husband and wife who lie to each other but love each other nonetheless garnered attention.
At the end of the series, it is revealed that the husband works for the Public Security Bureau, and their marriage is a cover to keep her under surveillance. In spite of his mission, he falls in love with Nami and tries to convince her not to get involved in other people's affairs. She is being monitored as a state-level security risk, and the bureau is unwilling to tolerate any more trouble from her. However, to save a friend, Nami runs out of the house and risks everything she has to confront the enemy.
When she comes home, she finds her husband pointing a gun at her!

■ STORY
"Who am I?" The wife loses her memory?!
After an incident during her escape, Nami wakes up with no memory of her past. She is told that her name is Kumi and finds herself as a newlywed living in a regional city with her husband, Yuji. Somewhere in his mind, Yuji (Yuhki) thinks that if her memory doesn't return, they could carry on their happy life together as they are, but he continues to monitor Kumi (Nami) as a part of his job with the Public Security Bureau. If her memory does return, she must cooperate with the Public Security Bureau or die.
However, Yuji (Yuhki) knows that Kumi (Nami) will never choose a life subjugated by the government. He realizes that once her memory returns, their life together will have to end.
In the regional city invigorated by the discovery of a new energy source, their life is simple, peaceful, and happy. But the city is divided over the construction of a research lab, and the hostility between the opposition mainly made up of citizens and the advocates including the mayor heats up day by day. There is a big evil scheme by the advocates and a state-level secret behind the new energy source. The members of the opposition who discover the truth die in suspicious circumstances. One of them is Kumi's (Nami) friend...

■ INTRODUCTION
Marmalade Boy, a best-selling comic series with 10 million copies in print, will be made into a live-action movie. Loved by numerous fans around the world for many years, it was adapted into a TV anime series (76 episodes) in 1994 and a theatrical anime movie in 1995, as well as a live-action Taiwanese drama series in 2001.
The new film will be directed by Ryuichi Hiroki of movies Strobe Edge (2015), Wolf Girl and Black Prince (2016), and Policeman and Me (2017).
■ STORY
Out of the blue one day, schoolgirl Miki Koishikawa's parents announce that they are getting a divorce. During their trip to Hawaii, they met another married couple, the Matsuuras, and Miki's mom fell in love with the other husband, and Miki's dad, with the other wife, and hence the two couples are swapping partners and getting remarried. They also propose that the two families, including the Matsuura's son, Yu, who is the same age as Miki, move in together.
As such Miki and Yu start living under the same roof with their unconventional parents. In contrast to Miki, who wants to maintain a certain distance from her off-the-wall parents, Yu seems unfazed by the whole situation. Miki starts falling for Yu, who she discovers has a kind heart under a cool exterior. Then one day, Ginta, Miki's former crush who rejected her while in middle school, confesses that he'd always had feelings for her. ■ STORY
